HISTORY AND TEAM
At Bodega Borràs we wanted to create a space where local Mediterranean cuisine meets a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The entire venue is thoughtfully designed: marble bar, barrels, and other classic elements blend with modern details, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment. Our goal has always been to provide a place to enjoy traditional dishes with attentive and professional service, in a warm and comfortable setting.
We are two brothers from Barcelona, Roger and Adrià. Before opening Bodega Borràs, we gained experience working on various gastronomic projects and local establishments, learning about restaurant management, customer service, and high-quality dish preparation. We were also inspired by our mother, Maribel, who passed on extensive knowledge about cooking and hospitality.
In the kitchen is chef Álex, originally from Ecuador, with years of experience in Catalonia. His approach is to reinterpret traditional dishes with modern techniques, always using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
The whole team shares the same philosophy: to provide close and attentive service, with a passion for detail. We want everyone visiting Bodega Borràs to enjoy not just the food but the entire experience: the atmosphere, the service, and the shared dishes. This combination has helped us establish ourselves as a reference in Barcelona for tapas and Mediterranean cuisine, appreciated by both critics and regular guests.
FOOD MENU
At Bodega Borràs everything is designed to share. Starters and tapas are simple yet flavorful dishes. Cold cuts and cheeses appear only as a small touch, adding depth and connection to tradition. The Josper grill is the centerpiece of the kitchen: meats and fish cooked over direct fire, showcasing the ingredients as they are, without embellishments.
Rice dishes and mains are traditional recipes prepared with care, featuring familiar flavors that reflect our approach to cooking: unpretentious, respectful of the ingredients, and crafted so each dish tells its story.
Desserts are classic or creatively reinterpreted. Each dish aims to deliver flavor and identity without unnecessary embellishments, respecting tradition while making it our own, closing the meal naturally and coherently.
The menu is updated each season according to fresh and interesting ingredients, always respecting our cooking style. It is a menu that tells our story, the cuisine we want to create, and how we want it to be enjoyed at Bodega Borràs.
WINE LIST
Our wine list is born from respect for the region and the desire to showcase Catalonia’s richness in every glass. We offer over 80 references selected to express the character, diversity, and working methods of Catalan vineyards. Our selection includes sparkling wines, ancestral wines, aromatic whites, fresh rosés, and characterful reds, with every bottle carefully chosen to provide authenticity and quality.
The wines reflect the characteristics of their origin: some whites are fresh and aromatic, others more complex and aged; some reds are light and fruity, others intense and structured depending on the vineyard’s terrain and climate. Other regions bring unique aromas and lesser-known varieties full of personality. Additionally, we include selected wines from other parts of Spain and French Champagne to complete the experience while keeping the Catalan essence.
Every wine is intended to pair with our Mediterranean cuisine, allowing guests to explore the diversity and authenticity of Catalan wines, connecting with the region and our philosophy of proximity and respect for the product.
